Just Like Startbucks Green Tea Frappuccino Recipe

Even though it may be a little cold out there, this is still one of my favourite Starbucks drinks.  Here’s a way to save some money by doing this at home:

What You Will Need: 

–   2 cups of skim milk

–   1 Tbsp of green tea powder (I found this at my local health food store)

–   2 Tbsp of sugar

–   2 Tbsp of vanilla ice cream

–   1/4 cup of whipped cream

–   1 cup of ice cubes

–   plus a little extra whipped cream for topping

What You Will Need to do:

1.   Place the milk in a pot and slowly add the green tea powder on medium heat.

2.   Add the sugar and to stir until there are no lumps.

3.   When you have gotten rid of all the lumps, take off the heat and let cool down.

4.   Once the contents of the pot have cooled down, place the milk mixture, in the blender.

5.   Add the whipped cream, vanilla ice cream and blender for about 30 seconds.

6.   Add the ice cubes now and blend until the ice cubes are crushed to the point of being able to enjoy.

7.   If it’s too slushie, place in the freezer, in an air tight container for 30 minutes to an hour.

8.   Pour into a cup, add the whipped cream topping and enjoy.
