Shrimp Lo Mein Recipe


This is a great take on this dish you may normally order at the restaurant or takeout:
What You Will Need:
– 8oz (roughly 1 cup) of lo mein noodles
– 2 Tbsp of canola oil
– 1 pound of peeled shrimp
– 2 minced cloves of garlic
– 2 cups (but sometimes I’ll put more because my family enjoys them so much) snow peas
– 1/4 cup of oyster sauce
– 1/2 tsp of salt
– 1 Tbsp of soy sauce
– 2 Tbsp of rice vinegar
What You Will Need to do:
1. Cook the noodles as indicated on the package.
2. In a skillet, heat the oil. Then add the shrimp, snow peas, garlic and salt. Cook until the shrimp are completely cooked.
3. Now add the oyster sauce, vinegar, soy sauce, and ¼ cup water. Continue to cook until the liquid begins to thicken.
4. Finally, add the noodles, toss to combine and enjoy!


Coconut Shrimp Recipe


A friend of mine took me to a Thai recipe, for the first time, a while back and since then, I’ve been on a mission to find the greatest tasting Thai recipes.  Here’s one easy recipe below:


What You Will Need:

–   20-25 peeled shrimp

–   2 minced cloves of garlic

–   ¼ cup of thinly sliced mango slices

–   1 tsp of crushed red pepper

–   3 Tbsp of crunchy peanut butter

–   1 tsp of oil

–   ¼ cup of coconut milk

–   3 Tbsp of lime juice

–   2 tsp of soy sauce


What You Will Need to do:

1.   In a saucepan, heat the oil.  Then add the shrimp and cook for about a minute.

2.   Add the garlic and crushed pepper.  Continue to stir and cook for about 2 minutes.  Place the contents of saucepan in a bowl.

3.   Other than the mangoes, add the remaining contents in the saucepan.  Cook for about 5 minutes or until the peanut butter is melted.

4.   Now add the shrimp and mangoes to the saucepan.  Cook for another 4-5 minutes, while continuing to stir.





Shrimp Pasta for Two Recipe



Are you looking for a quick dinner recipe on those busy nights?  Here’s a recipe to fill the stomach in a fraction of the time:

What You Will Need to do:

–   2 Tbsp of balsamic vinaigrette

–   ½ lb of peeled shrimp

–   1 cup of uncooked fettuccine

–   1 chopped tomato

–   ¼ package of cream cheese, cubed

–   2 Tbsp of basil

–   2 Tbsp of finely grated Parmesan cheese


What You Will Need to do:

1.   In a bowl, pour the balsamic vinaigrette over the shrimp and let marinate for at least 20 minutes in the refrigerator.

2.   Cook the pasta as indicated on the package.

3.   In a skillet, cook the shrimp for about 5 minutes or until the shrimp turns pink.  Set the shrimp aside.

4.   Next, place the cream cheese, tomatoes and basil into skillet and cook for about 3 minutes or until everything is mixed together well.

5.   Add the shrimp to the skillet and continue to stir together.

6.   Drain the pasta, place on plate and pour the skillet contents on top.

7.   Sprinkle cheese on top and enjoy!


Caramelized Chili Shrimp Recipe



I am always on the lookout for great shrimp recipe and this is one of those recipes that I have found with a little spice:


What You Will Need:

–   ½ cup of sugar

–   1 tsp of salt

–   1 Tbsp of flour

–   1 tsp of chili powder

–   1 finely chopped clove of garlic

–   1/8 tsp of cayenne pepper

–   about 20-25 peeled shrimp

–   optional:  lime to squeeze on after


What You Will Need to do:

1.   Preheat your oven to 500°F.

2.   Place foil on a pan and spray with cooking spray.

3.   In a Ziploc bag, mix all the ingredients, except for the shrimp and lime, together.

4.   Once the contents of the bag have been mixed well, add the shrimp and coat all the shrimp.

5.   Now place the shrimp on the pan.

6.   Bake the shrimp for 7-9 minutes or until the sugar starts to caramelized.


Note:  After you’ve taken the shrimp out of the oven, this is where you can squeeze the lime, if you’d like.
