Worms in Dirt Treat Recipe

This is a treat loved by all.  It is so easy to make and can be made by birthday parties, classroom treats and everything in between.

What You Will Need:

–   1 package of Oreo cookies (16 oz pack)

–   2 cups of milk

–   8 oz of Cool Whip

–   1 package of chocolate instant pudding

–   Clear cups or bowels (I use plastic cups to prevent breakage and
things to go missing)

–   Gummy worms

What You Will Need to Do:

1.   Place Oreo cookies into a Ziploc bag and crush with a rolling pin.

2.   Pour cold milk into a bowl, add pudding mix and beat like you’d normally do when making pudding.  Let the contents of the bowl stand for 5 minutes.

3.   Now stir in whipped topping and 1/2 of the crushed Oreo cookies.

4.   Depending on how much you want to serve in each cup (I usually make about 6 with this recipe), place 1 Tbsp of the crushed cookies and one gummy worm into the bottom of each cup.

5.   Next, fill cups about ¾ of the way with the pudding and then sprinkle more crushed cookies on top.

6.   Finally, place in the fridge like you would normally do with pudding.  Right before serving, place a few more gummy worms.

Double Layer Pumpkin Pie Recipe

Double-Layer Pumpkin Pie recipe

I found this ever so yummy double layer pumpkin pie that is the perfect twist to a Thanksgiving tradition.  I originally found this on the Kraft website; however, have changed a few things to make it a bit easier.

What You Will Need:

–   24 ginger crisps, finely crushed, like Peek Freans which will equal to 2 cups

–   1/3 cup of melted margarine

–   2 cups of milk

–   1 cup of canned pumpkin

–   1 package of vanilla pudding

–   ½ package (250g) of cream cheese

–   1 tsp of pumpkin pie spice

–   1 Tbsp of sugar

–   1 ½ cups of Cool Whip topping


What You Will Need to do:

1.   Preheat the oven to 350°F.

2.   Mix the cookie crumbs and margarine together.  Then press it to the bottom and sides of a 9” pie plate.  Bake this for 10 minutes.

3.   While the pie crust is baking, mix the milk, pumpkin, dry pudding mix and spice in a bowl.  Microwave this for about 10 minutes or until the contents of the bowl comes to a bowl.  Make sure to stop and stir every 2 minutes.

4.   After, let the mixture cool for about 10 minutes; however, continue to stir occasionally.

5.   In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and in sugar.  Stir in 1 cup of Cool Whip.  Spread this on the bottom of the crust.

6.   Next, layer the pudding mixture on top.

7.   Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.  When you are about to serve, place the remaining Cool Whip on top.  Usually, I’ll add a bit more for all those Cool Whip lovers!
