Turkey Apple Cheddar Sandwich Recipe

Looking for different ways to use up your leftover turkey?  This is a delicious sandwich idea which is listed below:

What You Will Need:

–   2 tsp of mayonnaise

–   2 slices of bread of your choice

–   2 tsp of mustard

–   4 pieces of turkey

–   1 slice of cheddar cheese

–   4 thin slices of apple

–   2 pieces of lettuce

 

What You Will Need to do:

1.   Toast bread, if preferred or just leave as is, if not.

2.   Spread the mayonnaise on one piece of bread.

3.   Then on the other piece of bread, spread the mustard.

4.   Now layer the turkey, apples, cheddar and lettuce on top of each other.

Slow Cooker Potato Corn Chowder Recipe

 

Here’s a hearty soup recipe that is to sure warm and fill any stomach:

 

What You Will Need:

–   3 cups of chicken broth

–   5 potatoes peeled and cut into small pieces

–   1 chopped stalk celery

–   1 chopped carrot

–   1 minced clove garlic

–   2 cups of frozen corn

–   4 Tbsp of butter

–   2 cups of 2% milk

–   1 Tbsp of parsley

–   1 Tbsp of salt

–   2 tsp of pepper

 

What You Will Need to do:

1.  Place peeled potatoes and carrots into slow cooker.

2.  Add , celery, garlic and corn.

3.  Now add the chicken broth, salt, pepper, parsley and butter into pot.

4.  Cook on low for 8 hours.

5.  After the 8 hours of cooking time, set the slow cooker to warm, add milk at end and let sit for 15 minutes.

 

As an extra treat, I’ve added 1/2 cup of cooked bacon at the end which everyone in my house loves!

Potato Chip Grilled Cheese Sandwich Recipe

 
Who doesn’t love potato chips and then grilled cheese sandwich together?  Perfect!  Here’s a recipe combing the two:
Grab two slices of whole wheat bread.  Spread yellow mustard on one slice of bread.  Place two pieces of cheddar cheese and about six potato chips on the slice of bread with mustard.  Top with the other piece of bread.  Cook like you would normally make a grilled cheese sandwich however flip only once.  Cook until the sandwich is golden.

Mac and Cheese Pie Recipe

A combination of mac and cheese with pie, doesn’t get much better than this!

 

What You Will Need:

–   1 frozen pie shell

–   3 ½ cups of cooked elbow macaroni

–   2 Tbsp of flour

–   3 Tbsp of butter

–   2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese

–   1 ½ cups of 2% milk

–   1 tsp of cayenne pepper

–   6 slices of cooked, chopped up bacon

–   1 tsp of salt

–   1 tsp of pepper

–   ¼ cup of grated parmesan cheese

 

What You will Need to do:

1.   Preheat your oven to 400°F.

2.   Bake the pie shell as indicated on the packaging.

3.   While you’re waiting for the pie to bake, melt the butter in a skillet.

4.   Add the flour to the butter and stir until completely mixed together.

5.   Next, whisk the milk gradually into the butter mixture and continue to whisk until the sauce has come to a boil.

6.   Now add the cheddar cheese and cayenne pepper.  Continue to whisk for 3 to 5 minutes until cheese is melted, sauce is thicker and creamy smooth.

7.   Take the cooked macaroni, cheese sauce, ½ the bacon and ½ the Parmesan cheese together in a large bowl. Add the salt and pepper at this point.

8.   Fill the baked pie shell with cheese mixture, top with remaining bacon and parmesan cheese.

9   Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until top is slightly golden.

Pesto Grilled Cheese Sandwich Recipe

 

I’m a huge fan of pesto.  I had a pasta dish containing pesto a few years ago and have never looked back! Here’s a way to change up the average grilled cheese sandwich with pesto:

 

Grab two slices of white bread.  Spread pesto on one slice of bread.  Place a piece of mozzarella and a piece of provolone on top of the pesto.  Top with the other piece of bread.  Cook like you would normally make a grilled cheese sandwich however flip only once.  Cook until the sandwich is golden.

 

Homemade Instant Mac & Cheese Recipe

 

 

Here’s a quick and efficient way to make Mac & Cheese when you’re in a hurry, right in the microwave.  This doesn’t even taste like it was made in the microwave.

 

What You Will Need:

–   ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese

–   1/3 cup of pasta

–   ½ cup of water

–   ¼ tsp of dry mustard

–   ¼ cup of 2% milk (I’ve tried this recipe with 1% and it tasted just as good)

 

What You Will Need to do:

1.   Place the pasta and water into a medium sized, microwaveable bowl.

2.   Microwave for two minutes, stir and repeat for another 4-6 minutes or until all the water has absorbed.

3.   Now remove from the microwave and stir in the milk, dry mustard and cheese.

4.   Place the container back into the microwave.  Heat up for another minute, stir and repeat until the cheese has completely melted.

Spicy Nacho Grilled Cheese Sandwich Recipe

We make grilled cheese sandwiches all the time for lunches on the weekend.  Here’s a way to change up the average sandwich:

Grab two slices of white bread.  Place two slices of Monterey Jack cheese in between the pieces of bread.  Place some jalapenos in between the cheese slices.  Cook like you would normally make a grilled cheese sandwich but make sure to flip only once.  Cook until the sandwich is golden.

Jimmy Buffett’s Like Spicy Jalapeno Macaroni and Cheese Recipe

 

 

Here’s a great comparison recipe to the Jimmy Buffett’s like spicy jalapeno macaroni and cheese recipe that I always enjoy at Margaritaville:

What You Will Need:

–   2 cups of melted cream cheese

–   2 ½ cups of heavy cream

–   8 Tbsp of butter

–   ¼ tsp of Creole seasoning

–   1 tsp of salt

–   1 cup of cheddar cheese (this may seem like a lot but trust me, it’s worth it)

–   1/3 cup of flour

–   ¼ cup of sliced jalapenos (if you’re a big jalapeno fan, I would suggest changing this to ½ cup)

–   ½ cup of jalapeno juice from a jar (I’ve made this before with pickle juice instead.  It changes the flavour a little bit but it still takes great in the end)

–   ¼ cup of bread crumbs

–   2 cups of macaroni noodles

 

What You Will Need to do:

1.   Preheat your over to 350°F.

2.   Cook the pasta as indicated on the package.

3.   In a large skillet, melt the butter.

4.   Then add the cream cheese, heavy cream, jalapeno juice and stir for a few minutes.

5.   Now stir in the cheddar and continually stir until the cheese has melted.

6.  Add the jalapenos, salt, Creole and flour.  Continue to cook and stir until everything is completely mixed together.

7.   Spray a loaf pan with cooking spray.

8.   Make a few layers of the pasta and then contents from the skillet until everything is used up.

9.   Sprinkle the bread crumbs on top.

10.   Bake, covered for 30 minutes.

11.   Now bake for another 20 minutes covered until the top has become golden brown.

Garlic Ham and Grilled Cheese

Here’s a little twist to the average grilled cheese sandwich. Grab two thick slices of frozen garlic bread from the store. Prepare the two slices as indicated on the packaging. After, place a piece of cheese (I really like Monterey jack with this recipe), then a piece of ham and then finally, another piece of cheese. Cook like you would normally would a grilled cheese sandwich, until golden.

 

Marmalade Brie Grilled Cheese Sandwich Recipe

Here’s another twist on the grilled cheese sandwich.

Take two pieces of cinnamon-raisin bread and spread orange marmalade of both pieces.  Then place two pieces of brie between the bread.  Cook, like you would normally would a grill cheese, until golden.
