Chocolate Almond Biscotti Recipe

This may sound like an unusual combination but it is quite a tasty combination.

What You Will Need:

–   1/2 cup of butter

–   1/4 cup of brown sugar

–   3/4 cup of sugar

–   2 eggs

–   2 cups of flour

–   1 Tbsp of vanilla

–   1/2 cup of cocoa

–   1 ½ tsp of baking powder

–   1 tsp of ginger

–   1/2 tsp of salt

–   1/2 tsp of cinnamon

–   1 cup of slivered almonds

What You Will Need to do:

1.   Preheat your oven to 350°F.

2.   Line a baking sheet with wax paper.

3.   In a bowl, beat the butter, both sugars together.

4.   Next blend in the eggs and vanilla.

5.   In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, cocoa, ginger and cinnamon together and then blend into the butter mixture.  Once mixed together well, stir in the almonds.

6.   Now shape the dough into 2 logs and place onto the baking sheet.  Then bake for 40 minutes.

7.   Take the logs out of the oven, reduce the temperature to 325°F and slice the logs into ½” pieces or the desired size you’d like your biscotti.  Now place back into the oven for 12 minutes or until they become light brown around the edges.

About Dino
There are many things that I love to do. One of those things is crafts! If I could find a job that involved crafts and being able to pay the bills, I'd be all over it! I've also found a great love for cooking and baking in the past few years. Sometimes there doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to be able to fully get into cooking and baking to the degree that I would like to. I've also found myself making a HUGE effort to save my family money. I'm still a beginner but I'm surprised at how many different ways I've found to save money, including starting to use coupons! I hope you enjoy all that I'm about to share.
