Homemade Old Fashion Butterscotch Recipe

This is a old family recipe that I remember my grandmother making all the time, I hope you enjoy it too:

What You Will Need:

–   2 cups of sugar

–   1/4 tsp of cream of tartar

–   6 Tbsp of butter

–   2/3 cup of heavy cream

–   2/3 cup of water

–   1/2 tsp of vanilla extract

What You Will Need to do:

1.   In a saucepan, on medium heat, stir in cream, water, cream of tartar and sugar until the sugar has dissolved.

2.   Next, add the butter, continue to stir and let it come to a boil.

3.   Now take the saucepan off the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

4.   Butter a 7’’ baking dish and pour mixture into it.

5.   Let the contents of the baking dish cool down, then cut the butterscotch up in pieces.

About Dino
There are many things that I love to do. One of those things is crafts! If I could find a job that involved crafts and being able to pay the bills, I'd be all over it! I've also found a great love for cooking and baking in the past few years. Sometimes there doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to be able to fully get into cooking and baking to the degree that I would like to. I've also found myself making a HUGE effort to save my family money. I'm still a beginner but I'm surprised at how many different ways I've found to save money, including starting to use coupons! I hope you enjoy all that I'm about to share.
