Eggnog Sugar Cookie Recipe

Here is a great recipe to change up the average sugar cookie:

What You Will Need:

–   2 tsp of vanilla extract

–   1 cup of sugar

–   1 ¼ cups of softened butter

–   ½ tsp of nutmeg

–   1 ½ tsp of baking powder

–   1 egg

–   ½ tsp of salt

–   3 ¼ cups of flour

–   5 Tbsp of eggnog

–   vanilla icing + 3 Tbsp of eggnog

–   course sugar for decorating on top

What You Will Need to do:

1.   In a bowl, beat the butter.  Then add the sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg.

2.   Next, mix in the egg, eggnog and vanilla until completely combined.

3.   Now slowly mix in the flour.  Cover and place the bowl in the refrigerator for about an hour.

4.   Preheat your oven to 375°F.

5.   Roll out dough on a floured surface.

6.   Use a cookie cutter of your choice and cut out cookies.

7.   Bake for about 8 minutes or until the edges turn light brown.

8.   Let the cookies cool down.

9.   Mix the icing and eggnog together.  Spread over cookies and sprinkle with the course sugar.

About Dino
There are many things that I love to do. One of those things is crafts! If I could find a job that involved crafts and being able to pay the bills, I'd be all over it! I've also found a great love for cooking and baking in the past few years. Sometimes there doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to be able to fully get into cooking and baking to the degree that I would like to. I've also found myself making a HUGE effort to save my family money. I'm still a beginner but I'm surprised at how many different ways I've found to save money, including starting to use coupons! I hope you enjoy all that I'm about to share.
