Thumbprint Cookies Recipe

Here’s a recipe for a classic holiday cookie recipe:

What You Will Need:

–   1 cup of sugar

–   1 ½ cups of softened butter

–   1 tsp of vanilla extract

–   3 ½ cups of flour

–   ½ tsp of salt

–   the jelly of your choice (my family really likes raspberry)

What You Will Need to do:

1.   Preheat your oven to 350°F.

2.   In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar and stir in the vanilla extract.

3.   In a separate bowl, mix the flour and salt.

4.   Combine the flour mixture and the butter mixture until everything is mixed well.

5.   Take a walnut-sized piece of dough in one hand.  With the thumb of the other hand, gently knead it.

6.   Roll it into a ball and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.

7.   With your thumb, press a well in the center and fill with 1/2 teaspoon of jelly.

8.   Bake for 10-15 minutes, until the cookies turn golden brown.

About Dino
There are many things that I love to do. One of those things is crafts! If I could find a job that involved crafts and being able to pay the bills, I'd be all over it! I've also found a great love for cooking and baking in the past few years. Sometimes there doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to be able to fully get into cooking and baking to the degree that I would like to. I've also found myself making a HUGE effort to save my family money. I'm still a beginner but I'm surprised at how many different ways I've found to save money, including starting to use coupons! I hope you enjoy all that I'm about to share.
