DIY / Frugal Tip ~ Homemade Hairspray

Since most hair sprays contain lots of items that you really don’t want anything to do with, I’ve found a way to make your own hair spray.  This is a very effective recipe to, you’ll be surprised as to how well it really holds.

What You Will Need:

–   3 lemons (about ¾ cup of lemon juice)

–   1 ½ -2 ½ cups of water

What You Will Need to do:

1.   Slice the lemons and place them in a skillet

2.   Place enough water so that the lemons are covered.

3.   Simmer for about 1 hour.  As the water evaporates, add more.

4.   Let the contents of the skillet cool down.

5.   Strain the liquid (I found a coffee filter works well for this) and place in a spray bottle.

About Dino
There are many things that I love to do. One of those things is crafts! If I could find a job that involved crafts and being able to pay the bills, I'd be all over it! I've also found a great love for cooking and baking in the past few years. Sometimes there doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to be able to fully get into cooking and baking to the degree that I would like to. I've also found myself making a HUGE effort to save my family money. I'm still a beginner but I'm surprised at how many different ways I've found to save money, including starting to use coupons! I hope you enjoy all that I'm about to share.
