Philadelphia Pepper Pot Soup Recipe



Here’s a yummy soup that is sure to warm you up on any cold winter’s day.


What You Will Need:

–   1 Tbsp of butter

–   1/3 cup onions, diced

–   2 Tbsp finely diced leeks

–   1/2 cup celery cut into bite sized pieces

–   6 cups of water

–   1/4 cup diced ham

–   5 chicken bouillon cubes

–   5 beef bouillon cubes

–   2 cups of canned diced tomatoes

–   1/2 cup green pepper, cut up

–   2 tsp of salt

–   1 cup cooked rice


What You Will Need to do:

1.   Heat the butter in a skillet.

2.   Add the onions, leeks, celery and ham to the skillet and cook until the vegetables are tender.

3.   Add water and the bouillon cubes.  Continue to stir until the bouillon cubes are dissolved.

4.   Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 5 minutes.
