Hello world!

411.ca for all your business directory needs

Looking for a website where you can find business listings nearby?  411.ca is my new best friend!  It’s Canada’s Local Search Engine. Find a person and reverse phone lookup directory services.
This is the site to turn to them whenever I’m looking for an address or telephone number of a business. They give you this information, plus more. 411.ca also gives the business a chance to send updates to the site (though I’ve found that not many businesses do unfortunately) as well as what the business features (for example: I searched Tim Hortons and it says that it features “Coffee, Tea), and a QR code (for smartphone bar code scanners) in case you want to take it on the go!
Keep 411.ca in mind the next time you want to look up a business!

This February, the largest producer of local apples in Western Canada, BC Tree Fruits is inviting Canadians to celebrate apple month by loading up on local apple varieties. The nationwide contest is called: The Artful Apple.   Artful Apple asks fruit fans to decorate their favorite variety of BC Tree Fruit apples and upload the works of art to share. I’m really looking forward to seeing how everyone’s imaginations soar.  The public will vote for their favorite Artful Apple. T he individual with the winning apple will be awarded an exclusive Okanagan vacation package for four. Full prizing and details at Artful Apple

Frugal Tip ~ Cereal Box Solution

A solution to your kids refusing to eat generic cereal, demanding only the name-brand cereal.  Just keep the boxes from the expensive cereals and start filling them with store-brand/generic cereal.  As long as the box looks right, your kids probably won’t even notice the difference.
